Bridget, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native, found her passion for camping during her college years while volunteering at Camp Shawnee in Eastern KY. After a few years of overnight camping, Bridget was the Program Director for a day camp and after-school program in Philadelphia. Bridget has been with YMCA Camp Piomingo now for 5 years (2 as Program Director and 3 as Executive Director) and has loved every part of camp life! She is excited about the many opportunities that lie ahead in keeping YMCA Camp Piomingo the magical place so many campers, guests, staff, and alumni come back to visit and call home. Bridget, her husband Mark, their son Quinn and camp dog, Little Foot can be seen adventuring around camp year round!
SENIOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Molly comes to us from Cincinnati, Ohio. Molly graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Master’s degree in Outdoor Recreation. Prior to coming to YMCA Camp Piomingo, Molly worked at summer camps for 7 summers, including YMCA Camp Ernst and Frost Valley YMCA. She spent her summers working a variety of positions, such as counselor, Unit Leader, and office assistant to the Directors. Going into her fourth summer, Molly is excited to continue bringing new ideas, hiring great staff, and welcoming new campers and families to camp!
Theresa began working for Camp Piomingo in the spring of 2010. Originally from Alabama, Theresa worked at Camp World Song for five years before coming to Piomingo.
She currently lives in Meade County with her husband of 39 years. Together they have four children and twelve grandkids, and three great grandkids. Theresa’s hobbies include fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and football…Roll Tide!
With the spirit for adventure, Mike Kile joined YMCA Camp Piomingo in 2018. He and his family recently moved to Kentucky from Hawaii, making this their home. Mike Kile is an Accredited Resident Manager, Certified Pool and Spa Operator and brings 18 years of Residential and Facilities Management experience as well as previously owning and operating his own business. He is known for his cost saving strategies, while understanding the dynamics of managing, overseeing, and accomplishing the day to day operations. Mike Kile recently shared, “What I love most about YMCA Camp Piomingo, is it’s a place to come and be inspired. I feel very fortunate to do something not only I enjoy, but my family also enjoys. We love being a part of YMCA Camp Piomingo.”
Summer Program Coordinator
Lejla is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina and came to Louisville, KY in 1999. Lejla graduated with her Bachelor’s from the University of Louisville and most recently completed a year of service with AmeriCorps NCCC. She first started at Piomingo in 2014 as a cabin staff and since then has had a variety of roles including Unit Leader, CIT Director, and Ropes Director. This will be Lejla’s 5th summer at camp and she’s excited to serve campers and staff all summer!
Office Manager & Registrar
Sharon is a native of Meade County and after leaving the area for several years, she recently returned with her husband to make it their home. She brings to us many years of office related experience and is excited to be of assistance to YMCA Camp Piomingo campers, parents, staff, and all guests. She is committed to making the camp experience as enjoyable and exciting as possible all while instilling the YMCA mission and character values.
